Grand Lodge of A.F. & A. Masons of Ireland

Statement from the Grand Lodge of Ireland 6th April 2020

The Masonic Order, being acutely aware of our responsibilities to society in general and
particularly to non-members are and have been exhorted to assist in any way that we can.
I am already aware of Brethren who have been visiting and telephoning isolated people and
collect and deliver groceries and medications. Many other innovative initiatives are also in
place like our “Teddies for Loving Care” Programme.
As we are a caring Organisation, no distinct direction has been issued by this Grand Lodge as
it is well known and abundantly clear that many Lodges and Brethren are already performing
the charitable duties enshrined in our Noble Order.
The Grand Lodge of Ireland is actively considering how it’s responsibilities to society in general
might be effected going forward at this most difficult time for all citizens.
