Chatham Hall Masonic Lodge No. 152. Warrant was granted on the 7th June 1810 and the present hall was built in 1933 and the foundation stone was laid by Rt. W. Bro. William Wallace, Provincial Grand Master. The hall has been restored to its former glory in recent years. This is a two storey building with an entrance hall, cloakroom, toilets and a large function room on the ground floor. The first floor consists of a small ante room and a very pleasant Lodge room. This hall is very popular among the Masons in the surrounding district, evident by the large crowds that attend installations and closing nights. . There are two small printed tracing boards of the second and third Degree; they are 18 ins. x 12 ins. and were by a Mr. William Reeves. The items of value in the hall are few; one item of interest is a cushion for the candidate to kneel for prayer which is beautifully embroidered with Masonic symbols and dated 5th December 1887. An old foundation stone built into the present building has on it Chattim Hall Thanks to Irish Masonic Records v3
