St. John’s Masonic Lodge No.162 Islandmagee
Presentation of four Golden and one Diamond Jubilee Certificates at a special emergency meeting held in the Islandmagee Masonic Hall on Saturday 9th April 2022.
A very rare occasion occurred this afternoon when four 50 year (Golden certificates) and one 62 years (Diamond certificate) were presented this afternoon in Islandmagee. Wor Bro John MacAulay received his diamond certificate from our Provincial Grand Master, Rt Wor Bro John McLernon. Then the other four 50-year certificates were presented to Wor Bros Albert MacKay, Derrick Matthews, William Kane, and James McCord. The uniqueness of the day was acknowledged with the presence of our Deputy P.G.M – Rt Wor Bro John Edens, one of our A.P.G.M – Rt Wor Bro Sam Brennan, our P.G.S. – Vey Wor Bro Russell Millar, all there, to support our Provincial Grand Master.
The Lodge was well attended, and after the brief meeting, we adjourned downstairs for a buffet supper. At the supper the Lodge presented the Provincial Grand Master with a cheque for £250.00 for the Vision 2020 appeal.
We then had an impromptu collection for the Grand Masters Ukrainian fund where the collection amounted to £ 605.00. All in all, it was a very enjoyable afternoon in the company of many old and new friends.
