Provincial Grand Lodge of Antrim

Stated Communication – 28th November 2022 at 7.30 pm

in the Royal Court Hotel, Portrush

The November Communication of the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand of Antrim & Act of Remembrance was held in the Royal Court Hotel, Portrush  on Monday evening 28th November 2022.

The evening was very well supported by Brethren, many of whom served their country with distinction proudly wore their service medals.

Following the Act of Remembrance, the Provincial Grand Master, R.W. Brother John McLernon opened the meeting and welcomed all brethren.

Distinguished brethren including Past Provincial Deputy Grand Masters’, R. W. Brothers Jack O. Dunlop and David Lyness, and also Past Provincial Assistant Grand Master, R.W. Brother Bill Balmer, were warmly welcomed and saluted.

The main business of the day was reporting and presenting the minutes of the Executive Committee and the Board of General Purposes.  This was somewhat extended because of Provincial Grand Lodge not having met in September due to the death of Her Majesty the Queen.

Following the election of Officers for 2023, Worshipful Brother Neil Rea of Thomas Valentine Lodge No.21, was Invested as a Provincial Grand Lodge Inspector.

Before the meeting closed the Provincial Deputy Grand Master, R.W. Brother  John Edens thanked all concerned for their efforts in making the day a success. He particularly referred to the Provincial Grand Secretary and Directors of Ceremonies and also to Worshipful Brothers Joe McKeown and Sam Eccles who had been present from midday to ensure that all was in order for the meeting.  Congratulations to all concerned.
