Presentation to W. Brother George Corbett and W. Brother Benjamin White of Andrew Henderson M.L. No.512.

R.W. Brother Paul Harvey. R.W. Provincial Assistant Grand Master attended a special meeting of Andrew Henderson M.L. No. 512 on Tuesday 28th March 2023, to present Fifty (50) year Jewels and Certificates to W. Brother George Corbett and W. Brother Ben White

W. Brother George Corbett:

W. Bro George Corbett was Initiated into the Star of Bethlehem M.L. No.665 on 12th April 1973, Passed to Fellow Craft on 11th October 1973 and Raised to Master Mason on 8th November 1973.

W. Brother George became the Worshipful Master of the Lodge in 1983. He then served as Lodge Secretary between 1999 and 2007 and went on to serve as Lodge Almoner in 2010.

Unfortunately, the Star of Bethlehem M.L. No.665 decided to hand back its warrant in 2016 and as a result W. Brother Corbett affiliated to Andrew Henderson M.L. No.512 on 21st December 2016.

W. Brother George is now seventy-six (76) years of age and loves his holidays in Tenerife.

He worked most of his days with Northern Ireland Electric Board and is a lifetime “Glasgow Rangers” supporter.

W. Brother Ben White:

W. Brother Benjamin (Ben) White was Initiated into the Social M.L. No.136 (Province of Down) on 11th April 1973. He was Passed as a Fellow Craft on 10th October 1973 and was Raised as a Master Mason on 7th January 1974.

W. Brother Ben was the Worshipful Master of the Lodge in 1981 and again in 2010 and served as Chaplain between 2011 and 2014.

W. Brother joined the Whiteabbey Past Masters M.L. No.993 in 2003 and served as its Worshipful Master in 2013. He is a member of Hertford RAC No.54, where he served as Excellent King in 1989 and again in 2001 and is also a member of Coronation Preceptory.

The Social M.L. No.139 decided to hand back its warrant in 2021 and W. Brother White affiliated to the Andrew Henderson M.L. No.512 on 22nd January 2022.

W. Brother Ben, who is now eighty-four (84) years of age, was born on 22nd June 1939 and grew up in the Fortwilliam area of Belfast. He was employed as a Stress Engineer at “Shorts”. Whilst employed at Shorts he also played rugby for the company’s team.

W. Brother Ben and his wife are keen dancers and attend dances most weeks.
