St Georges Masonic Lodge No 166

On Wednesday 8th January 2020, Worshipful Brother Maurice Gray was installed as the 112th Worshipful Master of St Georges Masonic Lodge No 166, having first served the Lodge as Worshipful Master in 2005.

The installation was conducted in a most proficient and exemplary manner by our own Worshipful Brother Martin Lawther and he was aptly assisted by the Director of Ceremonies, Worshipful Brother Harry Smith.

After having been installed, the Worshipful Master proceeded to install his Officers for 2020, also in a most proficient manner, and then recalled in his thanks to the Brethren for allowing him the privilege to serve them in 2020, how very much different and somewhat more difficult it had been to recite that which had been expected of him tonight, as opposed to 2005, with illness and age playing a part in failings in his memory over the years.

Guest of honour was Worshipful Brother John McCosh, our PGLA Inspector. John has become a regular attender and welcomed guest at 166 and is always willing to get involved and help out, as well as keeping the Brethren well acquainted with any business taking place at PGLA.

The evening was completed with a most delicious and sumptuous dinner, provided by Grayson Catering, the brethren hopefully all retiring satisfied after that which was another most successful night.

V.W. Bro N. King
