W. Brother Hubert Esler has been a farmer for all of his eighty-six (86) years. He was Initiated on 9th December 1970, Passed on 10th March 1971, Raised on 14th April 1971 and was Worshipful Master for the year 1985. Over the years Hubert has been an active member within the lodge, acting as Steward of Charities and Almoner.

He was elected to the office of Provincial Grand Inner Guard in 2012.

W. Brother Hubert is a member of RAC’s No.162 and No.260 and was Excellent King in RAC No.162 in 1998.

Brother Andy Niblock followed in his father’s footsteps and spent his working life at sea in the merchant navy. He was Initiated on 8th October 1969, Passed on 11th February 1970 and Raised on 11th March 1970. Due to his work commitments Brother Andy was unable to progress through the offices.

Now in retirement and in his seventy-ninth (79) year, Brother Andy looks forward to joining with the brethren and wearing his long service jewel with pride.

A beautiful festive board was provided after the meeting, by Mrs. Joyce McCord, the wife of W. Brother Jim McCord and Mrs. Jackie Hasler, who is the wife of the Senior Warden, Brother Helge Hasler and the mother-in-law of the Junior Warden, W. Brother Ross Hawkins. A terrific example of a real family lodge.
