Brethren we had a, good turnout of parent’s family and a few Brethren at Straid this morning. From the very start it was a lively morning with good craic, good food and good company. The long awaited Ballot draw took place, and our winners were as follows :-
Don McClay won the main prize of a night in the Hilton for two.
Kelly Gargan won the £ 100.00 second place cheque.
George McMillan won the £ 50.00 third prize.
Winston Blair won fourth prize, a hamper of drink.
Pauline Hindes won the final prize, a bottle of Scottish Whisky.
More importantly, the team at Straid raised £ 2,000.00 Brethren for the Hillcroft Special School, much to the surprise and delight of the teachers and parents present. And as always, we all enjoyed a great morning with family and friends, as we all played our part in this most worthwhile enterprise.
