Doagh Union Masonic Lodge 317 Trip to Dublin

A DAY OUT IN DUBLIN

On the 26th October the day dawned bright,

Doagh Union 317 set forth in delight.

With hearts full of laughter and spirits so high,

To venture to Dublin beneath the clear blue sky.

In the Grand Lodge Room, a meeting was held,

With David Stewart, our Master, so well-spelled.

He led us in unity, with wisdom and grace,

In the warmth of fellowship, we found our place.

After the meeting we savoured a feast,

At Buswell’s Hotel where the joy never ceased.

The plates were all filled, the laughter rang clear,

As friendships were forged over good food and cheer.

The girls full of glee wandered shops near and far,

With parcels and treasures from boutiques that they spar.

In a city alive with delights to behold,

Every moment a memory, a story retold.

On our bus a surprise – the ballot was cast,

Mystery prizes awaited, the thrill unsurpassed.

With giggles and gasps as the winners were named,

Each gift a new treasure, our excitement untamed.

Then off to Newry Masonic where a buffet was spread,

With flavours and warmth, we feasted, widespread.

In the glow of the evening with stories to share,

A gathering of friendship with kindness laid bare.

So here’s to the moments, the laughter and cheer,

To Doagh Union 317, each member so dear.

With memories woven and bonds strong and true,

A day out in Dublin, a joy shared by few.
