CHARITY RIDEOUT – 29TH MAY TO 1ST JUNE 2020 FOR VISION 2020

In support of the Grand Master’s Festival a group Widows Sons on motorcycles intend to visit one RNLI station in each of the Masonic Provinces of Ireland/ Metropolitan District over a period of four days. Midland Counties does not have an RNLI station but is still very much part of Vision 2020 and our fundraising effort.
In order to complete this endeavour, we plan to leave Galwally House in Belfast on Friday 29th May 2020 and visit twelve Masonic Provinces and the Metropolitan District over a period of four days.
Any funds raised will be for all the chosen charities of Vision 2020, and not specifically for RNLI.
We have identified the following RNLI stations in each Province/District:
Province of Antrim: Larne.
Province of Londonderry & Donegal: Lough Swilly.
Province of Tyrone & Fermanagh: Enniskillen.
Province of North Connaught: Sligo Bay.
Provinces of South Connaught and Meath: Lough Ree.
Provinces of North Munster: Lough Derg.
Province of Munster: Youghal.
Province of South Eastern: Helvick Head
Provinces of Wicklow & Wexford: Arklow
Metropolitan District: Dun Laoghaire
Province of Armagh: Clogherhead
Province of Down: Newcastle.

FUNDRAISING INFORMATION:
Any contributions received from Lodges within each Province/Metropolitan District should be recorded on your sponsorship form and the proceeds returned to WSMBA Ireland, all the details are on the reverse side of your sponsorship form.
We will acknowledge each Lodge contribution and will report the overall outcome of our fundraising efforts after the closing date of 30th July 2020.
Our aim, as the Widows Sons Masonic Bikers Association Ireland is to afford Freemasons in Ireland an opportunity to promote Freemasonry on the island of Ireland and to be seen as a part of Society and not apart from Society. We also see this as an opportunity to raise our community profile.
We are already working with RNLI and hope to have lifeboat crews or representatives from RNLI to meet us at each of the stations we visit together with their media staff, we would be pleased to have Provincial Officers and Masons from Subordinate Lodges in that particular Province meet us and symbolically “hand over” your contribution for publicity purposes.
We would ask that sponsorship forms are distributed to subordinate lodges and other Masonic Bodies within each Province or Metropolitan District.
We attach herewith the following items:
• Sponsorship Form, incorporating returns information on the reverse side.
• Route Map
• Approximate schedule of departure and arrival times and dates (subject to change).
Thank you for your attention, and please take a few minutes to look at our social media and website should you be interested in joining, or supporting Widows Sons Masonic Bikers Association Ireland.

Sincerely and fraternally
