Annual Cary & Dunluce Masonic Charity Service in Ballymoney

Despite the glorious summer sunshine the Cary and Dunluce Masonic Charity Committee managed to attract a good attendance of Brethren, family and friends to their annual Divine Service that was held in the magnificent surroundings of  St Patrick’s Parish Church in Ballymoney.  The service was conducted by Right Wor Bro Kenneth Gamble, Provincial Grand Chaplain of Down and the Sermon was presented by Very Wor Bro Stephen Sheerin, one of the Provincial Grand Chaplain’s of Antrim. His thought-provoking sermon was based on the biblical readings of Wor Bro John Bellingham, current Master of Vowferry Lodge No 17 and Excellent Companion Mark Rea, the current excellent King of Vowferry Royal Arch Chapter No 17.

Having attended many of these services over the years, on this occasion I was struck with the number of hymns included in the service. Nonetheless the day was very successful, and the collection lifted was just a couple of pounds short of £ 1,100.00.  As in previous years donations will continue to come in for a while yet from those Brethren who were unable to attend on the day.
