Distinguished Brethren, Worshipful Master W. Bro Gordon Heaney, Officers and Members of Thiepval Memorial Lodge 1020
A day characterised by the historic tradition of the Lodge, ritual was ofe precision, with fraternal friendships being affirmed & stories and fond memories being recounted.
The Worshipful Master, James Crawford opened the Lodge in an exemplary standard, and having extended a warm welcome to all, he then received The Provincial Deputy Grand Master Right Worshipful Brother David Lyness, together with Provincial Assistant Grand Master Right Worshipful Brother John McLernon.
Right Worshipful Brother Lyness accepted the invitation to preside over the Lodge, and having returned the Maul to the Worshipful Master the installation of the Officers proceeded.
Worshipful Brother Ivan Louden occupied the chair and installed the Master elect Brother Gordon Heaney in a flawless, professional & skilled manner. The Worshipful Master then installed his Officers, in an equally dignified manner of which this Lodge is renowned. Yet again all involved reflected the enthusiasm for Freemasonry in the Braid Valley.
