2018 Worshipful Master W,Bro Simon Houston & W Bro Jimmy Skelton (90yrs young) and members of Star of the North Masonic Lodge no.335 present cheque to Mr James Napier of The Charity Friends of the Cancer Centre on Saturday 23rd February 2019
£8,653.50 raised by the lodge from various fundraising activities, including an abseiling event in Castlewellan, coffee morning at Magheragall Parish Church, a BBQ at Broomhedge, a Ladies Night event at Gowdys at Downroyal, a George Best Charity Ballot and a Charity fundraiser in Shankill pigeon social club Belfast.
Over the past number of years Broomhedge Masonic Lodge no.335 have supported a wide number of charities including Cash for Kids, Malcolm Sargent children’s cancer, Parkview School Lisburn, Helping Hands Royal Victoria Hospital, Alzheimer’s society NI, Cancer fund for children, MindWise & Air Ambulance NI. This years WM 2019 Charity is Horizons Lisburn, this charity helps with the aftermath of the increasing number of suicides in young people in the local community.
